2cousins is a program that aims to link communities to allow them to learn from one another, namely connecting organisations and volunteers who would like students to teach students about particular subjects.

Here’s the process for signing up as a tutor, though administration roles are similar:

Registration of Interest

You fill out a form (above!) registering your interest for a role within 2cousins, informing us of your availability, subject interest and contact information.

Paired With an Organisation

Your expression of interest now enters our system to pair you with an organisation, matching your availability and qualifications to get you started teaching as soon as possible.

Volunteer Tutoring!

We'll add you to a WhatsApp group chat and begin regular classes! You are given the freedom to teach content in the style you would like, leveraging our resource bank and other similar tutors to share resources you have made.

Volunteer hours are tracked by 2cousins staff, and you can request a certificate of your volunteering at any time by emailing us or sending a request to a staff member.

As a volunteer, we highly encourage you to spend time creating content and share content with other tutors. 2cousins is not responsible for the content you create, and it is up to you to ensure you are following all legal obligations. As such, volunteers receive 2 volunteer hours for every hour taught in class. Please note that in America, this has been increased to 4 hours due to the different culture surrounding volunteering.
